Our approach to early childhood education - nurturing, inspiring, and empowering young learners
Our philosophy is not like other centres – it’s what makes us different and has inspired the unique design of our centre and the way we walk and talk. Over 25 years of experience in educating and nurturing young children has taught us that you can’t underestimate the little minds of little people – their curiosity, openness and sense of wonder at the world is what has inspired our modern new space. At Little Wonders, our people are committed to the safety, happiness and wellbeing of all our children and are all expertly trained in the “wonderment way” to give your child the best opportunity to learn, play and experience all the best bits of life – helping to build their resilience and independence.
We can help develop your child’s unique social, emotional, cognitive and physical development through observing, planning, evaluating and maintaining comprehensive developmental profiles in accordance with “The Early Years Learning Framework” (EYLF). Our unique Wonderment Programs have been designed with little people’s interests at heart – encouraging self-growth and independent decision making, risk taking and self-respect – important tools to build life-long foundations for happiness and resilience.
We create rich learning environments with open-ended materials that encourage creativity, imagination, and critical thinking.
We recognize that every child develops at their own pace and has unique strengths, interests, and learning styles.
Our educators observe and document children's progress, using this information to plan experiences that build on their current abilities and interests.
We follow the Early Years Learning Framework to ensure holistic development across all learning domains.
Creating a safe, secure environment is our highest priority. Children need to feel safe before they can learn and explore.
We maintain warm, responsive relationships with children, creating a sense of belonging and emotional security.
Our educators are trained in first aid, child protection, and trauma-informed care to support every child's wellbeing.
Families are children's first and most important teachers. We value your knowledge of your child and work in partnership with you.
We maintain open, respectful communication through daily conversations, digital portfolios, and regular family events.
Your input helps shape your child's learning journey, and we welcome your involvement in our centre community.
